Wanting to spend a weekend on Lake Huron but on a tight budget? Fret not; we’ve came up with a list of cheap, but comfy, inns and bed and breakfasts for you to stay for less than a hundred bucks per night. Most of these establishments are also near famous landmarks and historical places:

Big Bear Lodge

This friendly Mom & Pop accommodation facility in Alpena is opposite the picturesque Thunder Bay and a five-minute drive from the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center. For less than 60 bucks a night, you can book a basic room with a full kitchen (or kitchenette), plus you get to use an outdoor pool. Bedrooms are clean and cozy, with 1950’s-style pink bathroom tiles. There is also enough parking space. For those bringing their families, they can relax at the garden, picnic area, or children’s playground.
